Whonu.com is a new breed of Internet search technology that was originally developed by Derek Franklin.

In addition to developing this unique online search/discovery tool, Derek has been known to write a book or two for Macromedia Press on the subject of Macromedia Flash.

Whonu.com was created mainly as the need for a tool that tapped into the power of multiple search engines was clearly desired. As Derek began his personal quest for information online, he discovered that while there were many search technologies out there, each had their own definite strengths and weaknesses.

The idea was if one could bring together the power of all these great search tools into a single interface, we just might have the research, discovery, idea-generating tool we've all longed for. Thus, whonu.com was born.

whonu.com didn't begin nearly as ambitious as it turned out. The original plan was just to only tap into Google, Yahoo, Amazon, eBay, and a few other sources, but as developing began, it became clear there are some quite amazing technologies out there that, if were included them, would simply make whonu.com a premiere search destination.

In addition, whonu contains a number of search innovations and tools. Look for even more as time goes on.

On 30 March, 2009 Whonu.com was acquired by a new Internet company, as part of developing a next-generation online search technology. The acquisition came as the result of Derek's decision to move on with new ventures, and handing over Whonu.com and it's operations to a new team of talented marketers and developers.
